We pick you up from your hotel, in our private mini van from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. On the way we will arrive at a few points to walk in specific places for bird watching as the high Andean wetlands, such as the side of Huaypo. Where it is possible to see migratory birds such as Andean Puna Plover, Solitary Plover, Pectoral Plover, Wilson’s Plover, Andean Lapwing and several species of finches. In the west Once we reach El Abra Malaga, we will look for endemic species (Cranioleuca albicapilla), (Poospiza caesar), (Aglaeactis castelnaudii), (Asthenes virgata (Asthenes ottonis), Additional birds on this side of the pass include (Penelope montagnii), (Andigena hypoglauca), (Margarornis squamiger), (Ampelion rubrocristatus), (Uromyias agraphia), (Uromyias agraphia), (Conirostrum ferrugineiventre), (Anisognathus igniventris), (Diglossa mystacalis) and (Atlapetes canigenis). Rarely seen but present is (Thinocorus orbignyianus). Of course, Andean condors are also a possibility. During our visit fog is possible, especially in late November and December. The weather is generally much better in the dry season from July to September.
