Itinerary

DAY 1.- PUERTO MALDONADO / HOSTEL IN TAMBOPATA / JUNGLE WALK / SEARCH OF CAIMAN

Our adventure to the Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick in the Tambopata National Reserve begins at 9:00 a.m. We start from the airport, bus station or your hotel, we leave Puerto Maldonado in our land mobility via highway and affirmed highway until we reach the Tambopata River near the border of the Tambopata National Reserve. Where we will begin to navigate the majestic Tambopata river in the direction of our Lodge. Welcome and Lunch.

In the afternoon

We will do an interpretive walk through the primary and secondary forest understanding the role of each living being with its environment. And fortunately some species of fauna among monkeys, birds or reptiles.

At dusk we will see the change of the sounds of the jungle where the nocturnal fauna begin their activities, a propitious moment to make our visit to the Tambopata River in search of Caimans, and good possibilities of seeing Capybaras (largest rodent in the world) or Jaguar or Ocelot , the night in the Amazon is amazing.

DAY 2 .- COLLPA DE GUACAMAYOS CHUNCHO / LUNCH / RETURN TO PUERTO MALDONADO / LAKE SANDOVAL.

We start our activity at 5:00 a.m. some coffee before the trip.

We board the boat and navigate the Tambopata river for 1 hour and 30 minutes. We checked in at the checkpoint. We will have the entire sunrise just for ourselves and we will have very good chances of seeing migratory coastal birds a variety of fauna and why not the famous Jaguar (PANTHERA ONCA) or an Anaconda (EUNECTES MURINOS) there is a 25% chance of seeing one of these types on the banks of the river. We arrive at the Tambopata Chuncho clay lick, a little patience is required and we will be rewarded with a show of bright colors. With a variety of Loritos, Parrots and Macaws in the clay lick, a suitable place for photographs, our naturalist guide will explain the reason for this behavior at this time of year. After this wonderful experience we will taste our breakfast on the banks of the majestic Tambopata River.

Upon returning to the labegue we will take the return boat to register at the checkpoint and visit the small museum of the place.

We return to our Lodge.

After the delicious lunch, we prepare to return to Puerto Maldonado in 2 hours. Approximately.

We will go to the port We will take our motorized canoe and go to the port of Lake Sandoval and from there we will enter the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE in a walk of approximately one hour to get to our lodge we will settle on the shores of Lake Sandoval where we will enter in contact with nature. After settling in, we will visit Lake Sandoval navigating the edges in search of fauna.

And at night we will do a night walk in search of nocturnal fauna.

Day 3: SANDOVAL LAKE / WALKS / SWIM IN THE LAKE / BOAT RIDE

We start our activity very early and wait for the sunrise and experience the awakening of the fauna in the Amazon and with high possibilities of seeing the giant otters, who in the early hours start the fishing day, this beautiful habitat offers abundant wildlife among birds, mammals , reptiles, after the activity we return to the lodge to enjoy breakfast.

After a short rest we start with a walk to learn about the natural history of the wonderful flora that is located in this part of the Peruvian jungle such as chestnuts (Bertholletia excelsa) live for more than 500 years, our Naturalist guide will do the demonstration, depending on whether the season warrants it.

We return to the lodge for our respective lunch and in the afternoon we will explore the eastern side of the lake where we have the possibility of seeing a variety of monkeys, and at dusk we have the possibility of seeing alligators.

We return to the lodge to enjoy dinner and spend the night.

DAY 4 LAKE SANDOVAL / PUERTO MALDONADO.

We start the day with a good breakfast and we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado to board the plane.
