Cultural Zone Enjoy Manu Trip – 4 days and 3 nights

In this program you will carry out different activities to obtain the experience of the Jungle, the complete adventure and the observation of the wild life.



Day 01: Cusco (3,300 m.a.s.l.) – Manu Cloud Forest – Pillcopata Lodge (500 m.a.s.l.)

5:00 AM we will pick you up at your hotel in our private Minivan. Leaving the city of Cusco, our first stop will be (The Tombs), a pre-Inca site called Ninamarca of the pre-Inca culture Lupacas through the trip beautiful views of landscapes, then we will arrive at Paucartambo (the folkloric capital of Cusco) showing the beautiful Spanish colonial architecture and an old stone bridge called Carlos Third, built in the seventeenth century, then we continue our journey to the Acjanaco pass at 3,600 m.a.s.l. (11,811 feet) we walk to see the dramatic change of the ecosystems if the clouds allow us, we will see the Amazon jungle of Manu as the starting point of the National Park. We travel along the Manu road enjoying the cloud forest this landscape is simply amazing. There are many waterfalls on the way. That in the end will end in the Amazon River, on the side of the road we are having lunch surrounded by mountains cobered with vegetation and so much wildlife hidden in nature, also we are walking to see some unique species of mosses, lichens, orchids and birds in this habitat, we have possibilities to see quetzals, toucans, tanagers the cock of the rock, trogons, tanagers, mammals such as the brown capuchin monkeys and the gray woolly monkeys.

And in the afternoon we arrived at our hostel in Pillcopata.

Day 02: – (Optional Rescue Center) – Laguna Machuwasi, Soga de Oro Hostel.

After breakfast we go for a half hour (approximately) to the port of Atalaya, on the way we have the opportunity to see the coca plantation and the orchid garden. Upon reaching Atalaya port, we take a motor boat for about 30 minutes downstream (Alto Madre de Dios River) and finally we reach the Soga de Oro lodge

After lunch we will visit the Machuwasi lagoon, board the boat and sail the Alto Madre de Dios, for 10 minutes, and then we will walk through the jungle in search of fauna, approximately 30 minutes, then we will take a raft rustically manufactured to explore the surroundings from the lagoon, where you can see a variety of birds, such as herons, kingfishers, flycatchers, orioles, you can also see the shansho or Hoatzin, very interesting bird. It has a prehistoric appearance, excellent place to photograph it, we return to the main river, and then return to our lodge Overnight in Soga de Oro Lodge.

Day 03 Parrot Clay lick – Ceiba Pentandra Giant Kapok tree.

We start early we board our boat, and we go to the parrot Clay lick where you can see up to 6 varieties of birds among parrots and macaws, concentrate so that they can obtain minerals, and thus neutralize the toxins and alkaloids found in different fruits as a defense mechanism. Then we will return to the lodge to have breakfast, and later we will make walks in the different paths around the lodge, in the afternoon we will go swimming and fishing. Optional night walk. Overnight at Soga de Oro.

Day 04: Soga de Oro Hostel – Cusco.

After breakfast we return to the imperial city of Cusco arriving in Cusco in the afternoon we will leave them at your hotel
